Financial Management Seminars
Our Financial Management Training Seminars are designed for individuals responsible for the financial administration of discretionary and/or formula grants awarded from Federal grant-in-aid programs administered by the Bureaus and Offices of DOJ OJP, including the Bureau of Justice Assistance; Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS); National Institute of Justice (NIJ); Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP); Office for Victims of Crime (OVC); and the Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking Office (SMART). Representatives from OJP's Office of the Chief Financial Officer lead our in-person seminars.
As an alternative to attending a live seminar, we encourage grantees to take advantage of the free online Grants Financial Management training course. This online course covers the same topics as the live seminar and the completion of this course fulfills any requirement for training that is required by your grant. To access this training, please visit the DOJ Grants Financial Management Online Training site
Grantees are required to register and obtain explicit approval to attend our in-person seminars. Due to security protocols, only registered participants will be admitted. All attendees must provide a government issued photo ID to access our building.
There is no registration fee to attend our seminars. However, attendees are responsible for all costs associated with their participation in a seminar, including transportation, lodging, and meals. The seminar format is informal, and participants are invited to dress business casual attire. We encourage prompt online registration, as our seminars tend to fill up quickly, with a limited waiting list. All applicants will undergo an approval process and will be notified via email of their registration status approximately 15 business days after their registration. Please do not make travel arrangements until you receive the notice confirming your attendance.
